Pace
Prompted by Wahj's comment I re-examined my pace target for 2.4k next week. 2.4 in 9.50 secs is 4.06 pace - or nearly 15kph. My previous pace was 4.35 pace.
Fill up with carbs for a few days before and I think I can do it. Will I be in pain? Likely, but I am actually aiming to see, IF I had to do the reservist physical test, could I win that $400 for being under 10 mins. :)
