Give me sunshine, give me rain

Back in Singapore and the weather is hot, the girls are thin and the food is fattening. Found out that my sojourn to Europe resulted in a 2 kg drop in weight, leaving me hovering between 69.5 and 70.5 (depending whether we are talking morning or evening weighing times). This has put, in the words of Coldplay, a smile on my face.

Europe is more expensive than I remember, with two weeks of hotels, dinners and transport setting me back S$6000 in re-embursable costs. Add another $2000 in personal expenses and you are left with a staggering S$8000 - or S$571 per day. In Singapore thats a lot of dosh - but turn that into Euros 273 or even worse GBP189 and suddenly it is not so much. Considering that a hotel in london costs around 140 per night my expenses suddenly seem reasonable!

I will be back in Europe in November, and this time I will try to spend less on personal costs - and will make sure I am able to access me work mail!
