Ok - found a gorgeous 3 story town house that I am now hagglig rent over. It is in Plantage Kerklann, near to rembrantplein in Amsterdam. Very very nice. Some photos below for Kangas benefit - but they bhardly do the property full justice. This is, I shit you not - a dream house. Each floor is wooden floorboards and wooden furniture. The kitchen has a marble worktop. It drips romance.

You may be able to tell that I like this place - however, i am unsure that the landlord will take the reduction in rent that I am asking :-(
